John, I tihnk it`s your color combinations that evoke so much emotion. This is a late summer afternoon trip that reminds me of so many amazing experiences in my only year at college in 71. Thanks for making that connection for me!
I read a paper on “art” that “beautiful” and “ugly” aren’t allowed in dialogue now as these terms are the most used by “commoners” void of “appreciation” of “art”. here: weird eh?
in terms of “semantics” in the artworld and the inner circle of usage, yes. It merely reinforces the constructional ego mind of that collective thought and does nothing for movement “forward” in art, meaning with mental constructs it blinds us to “what we are actually seeing” rather than what we are “conditioned” to see via the group ethic

Another incarnation john! What happened to all the fascinating work that was here last night? You know I love this series – superb. :o)

This must be one of those extremely rare Chorus Trees, and I think it’s warming up for a tune.

Interesting article. Rather a torturous path from Edvard Munch to Andres Serrano, but worth a read.

awesome, this really speaks on a deeper level than most art
JohnScottArtist replied
thanks mouseman, funny how we just seem to “feel” a depth to imagery that doesn’t directly say “anything” on the surface.
