Great image and framing. I didn’t read it all, but enjoyed the bit about the kangaroo logo! :)

Haven’t been out there for about 12 years, used to love the place. Looks like the museum has taken on a whole new life. I have vivid memories of every flight I ever took between Roma and Longreach as the roughest I’ve ever endured…to this day. Looks looks like you had great trip.

  • Johnsart replied

Hi Sonia. Glad you survived. I suppose these days they glide a little bit smoother. On a trip like this through inland Qld, NT, SA and NSW, you can’t go wrong.

The thermals…it was the thermals and I suspect they haven’t changed?

  • Johnsart replied

You have to change the landscape for that and taht might be a bit hard. So the flights wouldn’t have changed I suppose.

Haha.. so we see here your transport glory ..
the link is also very usefull .. reading:The Qantas story is inextricably linked with the development of civil aviation in Australia. It begins with fragile biplanes carrying one or two passengers in open cockpits and progresses to advanced Boeing 747s flying some 400 people half way around the world in a day

    Thanks John
