We were fortunate to visit this beautiful garden at the height of its rhododendron display. Of the many, many, gardens which we have seen this superb, extensive, garden is amongst the most memorable.
Bodnant Garden, an 80 acre woodland garden, was gifted to the National Trust in 1949 – but Bodnant House which was the home of the first Lord Aberconway remains in family ownership.This building, an old Pin Mill industrial building, was purchased and rebuilt on site as a principal design feature of the upper formal garden areas near the house..
Taken in 1997 during a garden tour of the UK and Ireland; using an Olympus IS3000 loaded with Kodachrome 64. Scanned and restored in 2012 using VueScan and Aperture 3 software.
