The parliament buildings in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, as I saw them in 1972 during an extensive Architectural and structural study tour to North and South America. Brasilia was then in its early stages of development and construction as planned by the greatest of South American architects " Oscar Niemeyer".
Oscar was then banned and out of the country, so I had to meet with the head of the Planning Commission instead – which made this a long and unrewarding trip and one during which I was (briefly) arrested for using my camera in the Government Zone.
Taken using my Olympus OM1. Scanned and restored from Kodachrome 64 slides in 2011. This image is featured by the “Sculpture” Group..
