Artist's Description

Statue of Hercules and Cacus (a fire belching monster), positioned in front of the entrance to the Palazzo Vecchio on the Piazza della Signoria-the famous central square in Florence, Italy.
This statue was carved by Bandinelli in 1534, under the patronage of the Medici family, and has survived through the centuries without significant damage.
Taken using my Olympus E1 with its 14-54mm zoom lens.
