    Another beautiful image John.

  • Thanks Machka. Unfortunately this old slide had faded and i was not able to fully digitally restore it – so it has a slight colour cast..

:) beautiful familiar view… The word “multi-level” made me smile… Never heard and thought in such terms. Thanks.

  • Hello Kimimela. Thanks for your comments. Yes it truly is a multilevel bridge; because it was built to provide unseen private access by the Medici across the river using a continuous upper gallery above the citizenery at the lower shopping levels.

I know, the Vasari gallery ;) You know, I’ve grown up and studied with so much beauty and artistic heritage around me, just walking in the same places where Dante Alighieri walked… that at times I have to see all this beauty again with foreingers’ eyes :)

Indeed I discover the places where I was born every time I LOOK into them…

Thank you, John for your beautiful eyes :)

  • Dear Kimimela.
My apologies – I had not realised that you lived in the most beautiful of cities and that you were probably intrigued by my multi-level terminology; rather than questioning the reality of the Gallery..
I am afraid that this tourist is a mere passing butterfly who sees but a little of the reality of the view – I only wish that I could live longer in every beautiful place that I have passed through.
