Retired Professional Structural Engineer.
Active photographer since 1950. Computer specialist and software developer since 1965.
Enthusiastic member of the Pakenham Camera Club, Australia.
I specialise in Travel, Landscape, Bird and Architectural photography.
My serious photography started with an Exacta Varex in 1955; after which I became a devotee of Olympus. I have owned Olympus OM1/2/4 series cameras which I used during extensive worldwide travels on business. I now regularly visit Japan to see my son and grandchildren; and have had the good fortune to have seen almost every corner of their beautiful countryside.
I embraced digital photography with renewed enthusiasm in 2000 and my current Olympus digital cameras are E3, E1 and E20. My Olympus lenses 14-54, 50-200, 70-300 and EC14 Teleconvertor.
I use Apple (IBOOK and 24” IMAC ) computers, and my software for image enhancement is Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, Aperture 2, Lightroom 1.4 and Genuine Fractals: after which I produce A3 size competition prints with an Epson R1800.
