The “countess” in this work is a general musing for all men to have a “countess” in their life. Therefore what makes a better fit to any man than royalty? Though the allusion and the parable behind it is this: be realistic and dont go after dukes, princes, or whatever. But to just be you and prosper with what you have to offer.
