I captured this image at Tannum Sands in Central Queensland. I haven’t seen one with colouring so pronounced before.

beautiful image John! I took some shots of his cousin last week but it’s hard to get his colour nice! Will have to go look at them again!
Thanks Jenny. This colour was very close to what I saw but I don’t recall having seen such a “clean” blue on others i have seen. Haven’t ever captured the Blue Winged variety as an image before though

awesome image John…yes its a real beautiful blue,we have them around our house on our property but i have not seen any this blue.
