Street Art Festival in Penticton, BC., Canada
Artists took to the back alleys of Downtown Penticton to paint murals and competed for prizes!
The First Annual Street Art Festival has been designed in conjunction with a greater community plan for the education and reduction of graffiti and related issues. The event is geared towards distinguishing the difference between ‘Street Art’ and vandalism – namely permission of the property owner.

Two brilliant works here, both using the same effects. We have a part of town set aside for graffiti artists with the agreement that the taggers keep their work to the designated areas. There are one or two who dont seem to go with this for an idea and tend to spoil a beautiful town……………..T.
I guess it’s the same story all over the world :(
