I’ve spent 2 days at this location trying to capture the different moods from dawn to dusk, and I think I have managed to grab a couple of nice shots. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I did with my time at this beautiful place :)
The Black Sage Rd., running from Oliver to Osoyoos, BC, Canada, is a desert scenic beauty. It is also a favorite spot for many wine lovers since this is where many vineyards are located. I would have to spend a few days along this drive again when the grapes are in and during harvest.
The ruins of a house and barn dates back to the time when cattle ranching was king in this area. The buildings belonged to Val Haynes, son of the colourful Judge John Haynes who was a law-and-order peace officer, the first customs official at the Osoyoos border crossing, and a cattle baron. This is now a protected historical site.

this is stunning John, wow what a scene. I’m glad to hear it’s a NHS, good for Canada. Looks like it was quite a beautiful home in it’s day.
I can just see some cowboys riding home from the distance. Thx Vickie
