Fantastic shot! Its a shame this picture is not being noticed by other Redbubblers here.
Well done.
John Peel replied
Thankyou, Larry. I’m certainly not complaining that you’re the first to comment

I love this it’s just so dramatic and so atmospheric with all that light shining through so much dust! Looks like the beast was coming straight for you and the dog was putting his own life on the line to save you!......or have i just got a vivid imagination? LOL ;0)
John Peel replied
Those fearless cattle dogs do put their lives on the line constantly but with great skill. No, the beast was intent on one thing: avoiding being mustered into a yard where a truck was waiting to take him away—and not to greener pastures. A life and death contest for him, too. Thankyou

Being a farmers wife, this is right up my street! Brilliant shot, I cant understand why this has had so few comments!
John Peel replied
You’re very kind, Karen. And thankyou for adding it to your favorites. It is a favourite of mine, too, but I have to say the quantity of comments means much less than the talents of those who HAVE commented.
Naleen Senevir...
This shot is so good.
John Peel replied
Thankyou, Naleen, for the great compliment of adding this to your favourites
Anthony Mancuso
excellent work John, well done
John Peel replied
Thankyou, Anthony. Your comment is most encouraging having just glanced at your marvelous portfolio (I will look at it properly as soon as possible).

Fantastic shot! Love the action captured, the dust and the lighting… even the angle at which you’ve caught the animals movements (bull: head turned, front legs slighty bent hinting at further movement, tail held high. Dog: legs bent looks like he is about to spring out of the way). Reminds me of my parents farm =P I was never to fond of agressive cattle.
John Peel replied
Thanks for such a lovely, thoughtful comment, Danielle. Aggressive? Well, he has to be really: he knows it’s a life or death encounter, with the trucks waiting to cart him off… As for your delightful portfolio, if you can take such excellent images of the people and animals around you, then you will do wonders in a wider world. Good luck!
