Born in England, I was a journalist on the Daily Express in Manchester and the Sydney Morning Herald in Sydney before taking up professional photography in France in 1973.
Since 1976 I have been based in Sydney, contributing to numerous national and international publications.
My work has been exhibited in London and Sydney, most recently at the Barry Stern Galleries in Paddington, and my books include A Different Light (an outsider’s Australia) and That Place Called New South Wales.
A new book of my photographs, Song for a Wren, featuring country poems by David Campbell, one of Australia’s greatest lyric poets, will be published towards the end of November this year.
