Travelling on the London Underground is a unique experience, despite being surrounded by the bustling throng of people and business in a major city, you are often alone, nobody speaks or looks at you – millions of people living in parallel lives and worlds creating a modern day oxymoron – how can you be so alone, when surrounded by so many?
I know exactly what you mean, I lived in the second largest town in the UK and knew a handful of people. Moved out to a country town of 10,000 people and now know at least 200 friendly ones. Thats modern living for you. Thanks for the realisation John :))
