sorry about the naff title but that sky was eerie, never seen one like that before

Dog Rocks, Batesford

Canon 40D

After dabbling as a teenager with film (and the subsequent home “dark room”) a 25 year gap ensued before the bug bit again…. digital being the instigator. Trying to make up for lost time.

Have been lucky enough in the last 5 years in my return to meet up with talented and just as importantly, enthusiastic photographers, all striving to better themselves, something that I am trying to do.

For anyone that would ever consider buying any of my work, please note, I do not over sharpen my images, but every photo I have uploaded to RedBubble, even when viewed larger, still have that little white ghosting line appear. :(

Fantastic capture of those clouds John. Maybe last night’s moon had something to do with them? Can’t see any white ghosting at this end BTW.

  • on the edging of the twigs of the tree, it’s just an RB display problem, which has bugged me for a while now… but anyway, awesome clouds they were, got a phone call from Peter Marin giving me a heads up.

  • Geez Josie I never noticed that, I was thinking in the general terms of being a spooky sky…. now that you’ve mentioned it…WOW!

Nice one John, saw the clouds from our backyard but could not go and yes they looked awesome.

  • Was thinking tonight that they aren’t the normal clouds that Hans lets loose :)

Hope Gretel is recovering well, I’ll pop in when she is up for visitors
