I love the way the land and the sea are divided by the sky and it’s reflection – fantastic composition. The way the sun is also heading away from land adds emphasis to the change from daylight to night .Beautiful Image.

Hey John, I just visited your HDR blog, and I’m fascinated to find that this shot was a 3 shot HDR.

“Both photos were 3 shot HDR, polariser, ND4 and half grad used. Processed using Photomatix and Photoshop.”

I have a Sigma 10-20mm and a Hoya Pro1-Digital polarizer, but I’m really interested in purchasing a set of NDs and GNDs. May I know what lens are you using, and how do you attach your ND4 and half grad? Do you use a filter holder or screw ons? Thanks heaps mate.

Keegan, I use a cokin filter holder, unfortunately, it vignettes, the X series would be better, but I’m planning on buying a Lee filter system, a bit pricey, but better quality I feel
