Great Falls park, Virginia side, during a strong snowstorm.
It was quite a challenge to get there that day. The usual road was blocked by a fallen tree and I had to backtrack and circle around a number of miles to find an open road. It took good tires, slow driving and four-wheel drive.
By the time I arrived, the snow was about 12 inches deep and still falling, though lighter. The only other people present when I arrived were the park rangers. A few hardy souls arrived by the time I’d made this image.
I would like to canoe this river, but I think it may be a bit cool for a swim. Its a super image the small tree really adds to the intrest, great work well done. Rich.
