Wow what are they doing on the ice?? No water for them?? Will they be okay there??

  • Just taking a break. The water is nearby, the ice is melting. They are absolutely fine. It was in the high 50s when I got this.

Such a beautiful image. Looks COLD lol but really pretty xx

  • Thank you Christie. It was nearly 60 degrees when I got this… there was just so much snow it is slow to melt.

So beautiful and sharp! (good idea to use your tripod, i almost never use it!)

  • Thank you Ellen. I’m not steady enough with telephotos without the tripod, it is pretty much a requirement for me.

I found some ducks sleeping one time. It was really neat to see how they sleep. A beautiful picture- perfect.

  • Thank you Lori. It was really a lot of fun to watch them… some moving around, these two resting.

ideal christmas card to a hunter, but unfortunatlely ban is not lifted. they’ve invaded europe too.how do you like your 50D? write and tell me

  • The 50D is great. You can do better in terms of noise (5D2) or features (7D) but it is a fantastic camera regardless of how quickly the camera makers improve the models. I usually stick with lower ISO so the noise isn’t often a big deal. There have been a few times the features (the AF system in particular) of the 7D would be useful to me but no complaints. Image quality is great.
