The morning after a snow storm at Capen Park, Columbia, MO. I was out walking with the camera, had just photographed a lone leaf on the snow, turned around and saw this play of light and shadow.
very calm and peaceful, but I moved to South Carolina to get away from snow. Great shot though

Okay, this is one of those shots I never would have taken, or if I had it wouldn’t have turned out like I had seen it in my mind. What I’m trying to say (poorly) is that this is a really cool shot. I absolutely love the light and shadows and that really cool tree trunk that reminds me of a birds leg! :) Excellent shot, John!
