I din’t know poison Ivy climbed. I like the bark shot! (I have a computer here where I am but it’s a wireless connection and it’s really bad)

  • Hi Jan, good to hear from you. I didn’t realize it either. The ivy was everywhere at the lower elevations, I’ve never seen so much of it in one place.

Itchy, itchy! Hope you saw it before you stepped into it!

Love the texture of that bark and then the bright green against the dark is a beautiful contrast!

  • Thank you very much Leslie. As long as one sticks to the trails, it is possible to avoid it.

As much hiking and exploring as I’ve done…I’m shocked I haven’t been infected with poison ivy…and yep gotta watch for those 3 leaves…great shot and comp john!

  • Thank you Kellie. I had poison oak once in California… hiking with a friend on a soft edge, it gave way and he slipped down a ways. I hauled him back up by the wrists and neither of us noticed he fell into a patch… he got it all over but I had it on my wrists from helping him up. Sorta itchy for awhile.
