Saxony

This duck became curious about me as I sat by the pond shore and swam by to check me out. I didn’t know what it was until Darren Shaw ID’d it as a Saxony drake.

and it makes for a not run of the mill malard pic
and thanks to your pic i found a duck i had not come across ,only prob now is i want one ,if you see him give him some bread from me thanks
have a great new year and happy snaping
wonder what his wife would look like ?

  • John Wright replied

If he’s still at that pond, I’ll see him again. I didn’t see any others like him, he was following a mallard pair. I’m guessing they are not native to this area but I’ll have to look it up.
