What a cute little guy? It’s amazing how close up the shot is. I like the detail in this – i feel like I could touch his fur.
John Wright replied
He was only a few feet from the car door. I’m sure if I’d gotten out he would have left but it did seem like I’d be able to pet him. I wouldn’t try, but he was closer than any I’ve seen, with one exception.
I once saw a deer very close in Yosemite, near a campground. Someone was feeding the deer potato chips! The deer was going after the bag, aggressively. The person could have been hurt and I hope the deer never became a problem and hurt others going after junk food.
geoff curtis

John Wright replied
Thank you Geoff.

I use to live on an island that was an nature preserver as well, and lots of protected deer that got quite use to us humans. But even they wouldn’t let you pet them.. Nice picture.
John Wright replied
Thank you Mary.
Smart deer!
This one I think would have run from me as a human, but the cars stay on the road and it was just past a fence so I’m sure it knew it was ok.
CXCBEAR

John Wright replied

You have all this beautiful artwork that I was missing. This is a handsome little buck. I see these young ones and their antlers remind of marshmallows sitting on their heads. Very nice, John.
John Wright replied
Thank you very much Lori. I never thought about marshmallows!
Lori Peters
I’m on a diet so I guess I see food everywhere.
