I Don't Believe in Magic

The whispered incantations,
Of your love spell; be bound.
A circle cast in Widdershins,
In the scrying glass; be found.

A candle carved in runes.
An athame silver, red,
Equally carved in pallid flesh,
For past lovers to be bled.

I don’t believe in magic,
But in your presence I’m obsessed.
What dark fold has a hold on me?
By what force am I possessed?
I don’t believe in magic,
But in my actions, no control.
On an altar bed you down your head,
And suck away my soul.

The mystic invocation,
Of your love spell; you sound.
A circle cast in Deosil,
In the looking glass; unwound.

My body carved in runes,
And sewn with silver thread,
Sealed with red cold candlewax,
Lies tethered to the bed.

I don’t believe in magic,
But in your presence I’m possessed.
What cantrip has a grip on me?
What enchanted acquiesce?
I don’t believe in magic,
But I can feel you take control.
On the altar sheets you straddle me,
And ride away my soul.
