Waiting.

I cannot wait until, ?
Your smile is upon me,
like the mist upon the vale,
like the light upon the water,
like the moon upon the pale.
Soft whispers fleeting,
like love made in the dark,
like the dead within their graves,
like your shadow on my heart.

I’m

Longing for that moment,?
When first I taste your lips,
?like a sip of a fine wine,
like a honeysuckle drop,
like a grape fresh off the vine.
Our dared kisses sighing,
like waves upon the shore,
like wildfire ’cross the plains, ?
like your footfalls on my floor.

And

When at last in my arms,
And our time has come,
like the sands within the glass,
like a canyon, river carved,
like an omen come to pass.
I’ll look upon your face,
and know that you are mine:
then gaze in your eyes and
watch the stars collide.

A softly flowing work. Really evokes a sigh John. Lovely

  • Thank you again Donna19! I had a bit of doubt about the flow. But if you say it’s flowing, then I’ll rest easier with it. :) Glad you like it!
