There beneath,
Creaking, groaning.
We faintly heard,
A creature moaning.
There, under the bed.
There again,
Wisping, gagging,
We thought we heard,
Long claws dragging.
There, under the bed.
Where upon,
Trembling, shaking,
He peered beneath,
Our bed now quaking.
There, under the bed….
Torn below,
Screaming, shrieking,
My older brother,
Was promptly eaten,
There, under the bed.
Froze in fear,
Cold, alone,
I heard the creature,
Munch his bones,
There, under the bed.
Then I heard,
Humming, chirping,
Promptly followed,
By innard slirping,
There, under the bed.
In the room,
Still, and silent,
Calm it was,
After the violence,
There, under the bed.
Underneath,
Moving, sliding,
I heard the creature,
Contently sighing,
There, under the bed.
Up above,
Scared, afraid,
I peed the bed,
From noises made,
There, under the bed.
Suddenly,
Yelling, flicking,
From the bed,
Someone kicked me,
And there, under the bed.
Found myself,
Awake, confused,
Wet pajamas
And badly bruised,
There, under the bed.
Up I peered,
Wide-eyed, shaken,
Saw my brother,
Angry, wakened,
There, under the bed?
“Mom!” he cried,
Disgusted, red,
“Jimmy went and
peed the bed!”
I hid, under the bed.
In Dad came,
Angry, wakened,
Belt coiled up,
“Where’s he, Aiden?”
“There, under the bed!”
Pulled on out,
Screaming, shrieking,
My little ass,
Was promptly beaten,
There, under the bed.
