Bloggers’ Bliss — See our streetwear come to life

After the Fall

When my foe fell before me,
And his blood pooled upon the clay,
Fore’ the peace of death caressed him,
I swore there was no other way.

But I was blind, as I could not see,
He was a man, a son, a fool…like me.
When the sun dipped behind the horizon,
Beyond the light of the stars, he found peace.

He cast his eyes to the tapestry of night,
As he passed from emptiness to emptiness.
His hopeless gaze locked imploringly to me,
He mouthed my name.

As I backed away from his body,
And felt the stinging fire of shame,
I whispered for his forgiveness,
No salvation to be my claim.

I cast my eyes to the tapestry of night.
As I passed from emptiness to emptiness.
That haunted gaze locked forever upon me,
And I spoke his name.

For

We will bear this secret forever,
The memory of his fall to linger on.
So shaken, was I, that my foe fell me,
And pressed my voice out in prayer.

I cast my eyes to the tapestry of night.
His voice calling me from emptiness to emptiness,
Those penetrating eyes following me…
Whispering, “You will remember me…”
