Her shadow hit the floor below my eyes
The rain in my heart returned to the sky
Before me she was, a vision of love
This beautiful girl, a gift from above
What fate could this be
I could never have guessed
The way life twists and turns
How destiny manifests
From out of the haze
Came my clarity of being

Glazed eyes finally seeing

As it had been for years
The time passed so quick
As we laughed through the tears
