    Thank you for the beautiful picture of Oak Alley Plantation-located about an hour out of New Orleans, LA. Did you get to go there? Our family visited a craft show at the plantation about 2 weeks ago. Too many people to get good pics, gonna have to go on a weekday. Before the Mississippi river flooded and was located a distance away from the row of plantations, the man who built Oak Alley Plantation planted them all the way to the river. (What you see is only about 1/3 of the trees planted). The river changed course and they built a major highway along side the river…what a shame!! For the oaks that is…
