In the über fashionable district of Harajuku, and in a city where every square metre of land is continually developed and redeveloped, it was a shock to find a space devoid of commercial real estate. Though in typical Japanese fashion the space has not gone to waste—a couple of benches and an old cable drum forms the perfect place for a mid-shopping sit down.
