Sea Dog 1 by John Hurle

Sea Dog 1

Ray helps out at the Mordialloc boat yard. He’s 72 and retired but likes to keep busy. After taking a dozen or so photos of him, he asked if he could have some prints.
The next weekend I went back with them. Colour and B&W copies of each shot. He liked the colour ones best because he thought he looked like an old dero’ (his words) in the black and white ones.
He was looking forward to showing them to his sister because it had been so long since anyone had taken a photo of him.. :-)

Great shot John. Ray looks like he might be a bit of a character with plenty of good yarns to tell.

great work and textures, looks sightly desaturated which works well, adds more feeling into the image, its even better having some background about the guy in the image too.
