I am part of a cooperative street photography initiative that is staging a real, live, photographic exhibition, between June 21 and July 2, 2012. It will feature Street Photography & Photojournalism captured in Melbourne by Victorian photographers.

Hi there, my name is John Holding and it is great to see you. Take your time have a good look around enjoy what you see or read and if you feel inclined comment about the work. If you really like something then go ahead and buy it, I would love that and so would you, after all you get a piece of art that you like, I get a great buzz and a little bit of money that helps justify my spending on gear to do this.

Just in case you were wondering who I am a little bit of history might help.
Originally from South Australia, moved around that state a few times gradually migrating to the capital, Adelaide, and then finally to Melbourne with my of so gorgeous wife and our children. Retired now, and since December 2010 have become fascinated by photography. Never being one to just take a surface look at how things work I have plunged right in, read at least a dozen books on photography and art and practised and bored my family endlessly with “what do you think of this shot”.
