And this of all my hopes...
Inspired by a poem by Emily Dickinson again and dedicated to Judi Taylor for all her messages of support and compassion.
The Poem:
And this of all my Hopes
This, is the silent end
Bountiful colored, my Morning rose
Early and sere, its end
Never Bud from a Stem
Stepped with so gay a Foot
Never a Worm so confident
Bored at so brave a Root
And this of all my hopes... belongs to the following groups:

Oh my … I don’t know what to say! Wait, yes I do.
You, John, have been a teacher for me. You have shared your techniques and your knowledge. Like many on here, I have admired your work and studied it. You are constantly raising the bar, trying something new and different and giving me such joy just to watch you as you develop and grow.
You are a true artist! I read that the definition of an artist is a person whose creative work shows sensitivity and imagination . If that is true, then you ARE an artist by definition but also by heart.
In my Native language there is a word that many have seen me use here. The word is Wanishi. It’s definition is “Thank you” but to the Lenape people it can mean more than just thank you … but an greeting used for the thankfulness to the god/goddess that we see in each other.
Wanishi, John. I am honored.

That maybe …but it’s the artist in you, that brings it out for us all to see, and if you did not have that quality then the painter would be no more that a gadget…xx
