Grand Canyon National Park
A powerful and inspiring landscape, the Grand Canyon overwhelms our senses through its immense size; 277 river miles (446km) long, up to 18 miles (29km) wide, and a mile (1.6km) deep.
As I was looking at this dead tree,I was thinking what a beautiful place to die,
I don`t know how old this tree is,but it had a nice view everyday of it`s life.

nice find and capture….consider a smaller Aperture next time, like f8, and an ND filter will help with glare…
Thank you much George,…I appreciate the help,..Thanks,..

What a spectacular breathtaking view, the colors are just fabulous, John. Love your title too. Spread my ashes to the wind, wouldn’t be a bad spot to spend the rest of eternity.

Love this scene!! I tried to capture a similar setting in Nevada years ago with my cheap “Instamatic,” and I almost got it! Now, with ditigal, I’d like to go back and try again. You’ve done a great job with this one, John! Yours has depth, where mine (of course) did not. Beautiful color!
Thank you Patricia,..This really was not a easy shot,..Very low,..and I didn`t have a tripod with me,Next time I will,..I wasn`t going to post it because the focus was so soft,..But I like it so much,so I thought I`d share and see if other people like it,.
