a funeral (dare i say it out loud) does not always have to be a sad affair sure a certain reflection needs its place and a certain solemn air needs its position but i hope when i pass into the ether that my ‘going’ may cause more joy then sympathy or (usually) self pity……one needs not tears but laughter for the here after. your drawing has all this in the one beautiful composition, a quite reflection, a solemn reserve yet a bouncing joy, one that comes from wisdom and knowledge. …this is my take of course, i love the expression here.

  • I think of that time when one has an event and looks up and draws a deep breath and realises all the world is still around, with all its faults and beauty still breathing and moving – life moves along, always. And if I am about still when your time is up I will be sure to celebrate the joys. And if the other way round do the same for me please.

intersting how a title makes how you see or feel!! ….so….i see the pink blob is a tear….the ladscape is line art, no colour..the tilted truck is not on the road? the the cats are witing for someone?? a thoughful painting….Wonderful!

  • thanks – yes interesting what a title can do to perception – brings up the idea just how much do we project of ourself onto an artwork, the world?
