Wow! I cant decide if I like it or if I am offended. Hahaha. That means its great.
oh – I see beauty in sadness and sadness in beauty, sounds trite but its true – not meant to be offensive but if that works for you then certainly is cool with me :)
Say it ain’t so! They’re just sleeping. (this isn’t what you wanted the dead pets for is it?) This is shockingly emotive work John!
Thanks Bruce – certainly not intended to be shocking, but I get that it may appear so. No, this is not what I want the dead animals for – that is a photo project.

I understand completely John, I often see the beauty in sadness and vice versa. It is compelling provocative work. Hey I favorited it didnt I? ;^)
you did you sweet thang :) I am glad you understand – I always feel on the defensive when I post anything on this site that isn’t rainbows and brown paper packages tied up with string.
I was watching Bondi Vet last night and a poor mother dog who was in labour for so long had about six puppies , all were dead.I just love your drawing skills John.
I haven’t watched that show – I always get upset at animals suffering, and television advertising. Thanks about da drawing! x
Here’s what I see…… the puppies are all the same colour and texture, but they are different sizes and face shapes…..they don’t look like one litter. They look a little older, not newborn. They look as if they are sleeping, no blood and guts. This suggests that they have been put down at the pound or something. Very appropriate ant Xmas time, when so many people give pets who will end up this way. But hey….that’s just my reading.

That’s a an interesting take and yes very appropriate given the season – thanks Sue! x
i love their lively shapes, it confuses me that they are dead…i don’t want them to be dead. that one in the middle in particular with its little puppy tummy exposed…
