Love this John, and the use of tea.
When we had no money at all for art supplies, or much of anything else, I would get cardboard from supermarkets,A magic marker and my colors would be mustard, coffee and cheap red wine. Funny how we always had money for cheap wine.
    Cheers,
    George

  • John Douglas replied

Thanks George. You’ve reminded me of a time at art college when I had no money and made a series of paintings using food. Over the coming weeks the paintings grew mouldy and drooped and ripped, it was fascinating. And yes – always money for cheap wine!

love your quirky drawings…..’ordianary ‘an intersting word when relating to people…...another word is ‘normal’!!!....enjoy yoour tea…..if i found a ‘kellogs horse’ i will take a photo and post it!!!

  • John Douglas replied

Thanks Shylie. Funny words – and how some describe themselves as ‘average’ is another one. The tea was good – I left none for art making. Oh please post a kellogs hors eif you find one! Did you know kellogs breakfast cereals were originally devised as a nutrional supplement to discourage masturbation?
