    Fascinating place, isn’t it? I don’t know exactly where this is, on the Seine, but in 2005, my daughter joined the queue, outside the Musée d’Orsay and urged me to go for a wander around, while waiting to get in.
    This brought back the memory of a great day. (But also of the pictures that my uncle, keen photographer) took there in the 50s/60s.

    thanks carla. I don’t know what the rings are – I was guessing that they are for mooring barges, but can’t say for sure.
