Soxy Fleming!
didn’t even cross my mind that it might smell (be pretty well preserved by the cold though I would have thought, but obviously you have the experience so I’ll believe you!) amazing place
John Douglas replied
oh even in the coldest weather you can tell when penguins are near – the stink carries – maybe it’s their body heat that keeps the smell going, or the constant addition of waste, anyway once smelled not easily forgotten!
Shylie Edwards
are they loud?
John Douglas replied
in a group this large yeah pretty loud
John Fish
amazing. love the colors that are almost black and white. where’s the ice though? has it all melted?
John Douglas replied
Thnaks John, I liked that tonal quality to the colours, looks like it does as it was raining at time of the photo. Not much ice in this par tin summer but it wasn’t far away – this shot is quite nearby!

i bet the smell will clear one’s sinuses. Think of the gardens one could grow, too, with Penguin manure. If one would like carrot ala Penguin stink
John Douglas replied
ha yes that’s a good point – perhaps we cna market a new organic sinus clearer!
