The Bund, Shanghai
The Bund at night. Shanghai is sinking, collapsing under the weight of the massive construction taken place over the last 50 years. The Huangpu river is higher than streetlevel, and so is kept at bay by flood walls which double as the promenade of The Bund. The Suzhou river mouth at the right foreground was a popular place for gangsters to dump corpses during Shangai’s jazz heyday in the 1930s.

Gives you the same pleasant feeling as looking at a beautifully balanced and lit up christmas tree. A really well constructed and captured shot.
