Close to the glacier in Vestre Burgerbukta, Svalbard, Norway, Arctic Circle.
We were thrilled to have calm seas and sunshine on board the inflatabel Zodiacs for a cruise of the glaciers, each 2km wide on the east and west ends of the bay.
Small icebergs (created from the calving fronts of glaciers) snap, crackle and pop in the water, flipping over occasionally (which is why we never get too close).
