I’m a musician, photographer, a grad student, a political activist, and just another guy going through the motions of life in the Detroit area. I’ve been doing photography seriously for a few years now and consider myself a semi-professional photographer (I’ve gotten paid gigs, but I also turn them down and don’t at all seek them out). I’ve also never taken a photography class and always opted to stock up on books instead.
I shoot with a Nikon D5000, and the following lenses:
Nikon 18-55vr
Nikon 55-200
Quantaray 28mm prime (f/2.8)
Tamron 18-200 (good walkaround lens)
My favorite things to shoot are landscapes and architecture, but I’m working hard on becoming a more versatile photographer, capture the way people look, act, and interact with each other.
My true love is places and am in grad school to be an Urban Planner, which really helps with the desire to get out and see / explore more places (regardless if they’re here in Detroit or around the world) and naturally, take photos of them. My curiosity and desire to explore knows no limits, and this little gallery is how I try and share my experiences with the world.
I was a deviantart user for many years, but am happy to be over here at RB as a way of learning, sharing, and of course the best options for people who want to be really super awesome and buy a print or 2 (this is much easier than having to carry inventory).
