Check out a new bubbler

Well not really a new bubbler, just a new account for my floral images. Sarah Donoghue Photography has been created to showcase my floral images. There are only a few images there at this stage but I will be moving most of my florals from this page over there in the next few weeks and adding new works as well.

Have a great day.

Questions:
1. What’s your favourite artistic tool or piece of equipment (past, present or dream)? my camera

2. Which work are you most proud of and why? a painting called Sunset After Storm.
It’s big, bold and bright. I love the colours and how they blend. The texture adds dimension as well.

3. Which artwork by a fellow RB artist do you secretly wish you’d created and why? That is a tough question. I love all of the vintage works of Rosalie Dale so any of that I’d love to recreate. My attempts just aren’t anywhere near her league.

4. If you could learn any new creative skill or technique, what would it be? Painting with pastels

5. If you could collaborate with any artist on RedBubble, who would it be? Another difficult one. Simone Byrne- I love her HDR work and would lo…

Another Busy Australia Day

The City of Orange Brass band had a busy day this Australia Day- as they do every year. First they played in Orange- a short performance and then for the official ceremony- followed by a drive to the nearby village of Carcoar for a 2 hour gig. As per the last few years, and in Aussie tradition, it was stinking hot which caused both players and instruments to overheat on occasions. But a fun time was had by everyone, even if the hills back to the car seems humongous after the long day.

Here are a few photos I took of the band. It is rather difficult to take too many pictures as I’m a member of the band and cannot take pics whilst the band playing, so they are just some candid shots of a few members between pieces.

To Sell or Not To Sell...

… That is the question. A local small school is holding an Art Show and sale to raise funds for their trip to a performing arts festival. I would like to enter my painting Sunset After Storm but not sure if I want sell it or not. If I do offer it for sale, then comes the question of what price to put on my painting. I’ve never put any of my paintings in a show, or sold any so this is all new to me. Any suggestions?
