Lake Hume.
Lake hume near Albury/Wodonga
The construction of the Hume Dam commenced on 28 November 1919 and was completed in 1936. The construction site was initially referred to as ‘the Mitta Mitta Dam site’, but in February 1920 the River Murray Commission adopted the name ‘Hume Reservoir’ to honour Hamilton Hume, who was one of the first Europeans to see and cross the River Murray.
Hume Dam is the major operating storage of the River Murray system. The storage regulates the River Murray, and re-regulates water discharged from the Snowy Mountains Hydro-electric Scheme.

LOL!!! I saw vehicle tracks out there this arvo…better watch it mate gets boggy out there. Just ask V…i bogged us a few weekends ago! I know where this was shot. Just Physically crop your dead area at the bottom – that is,get closer to the water and shoot more out into the water to get away from the bank. Set to shade setting or cloudy on WB. I would have probably got closer to the cloud reflections at the bottom – try and frame the clouds above and below.
Otherwise, well done mate. Great colour and good choice of spot to shoot this from – usually nice and quiet until the 4 wheel drive nuts get down there:))
John Vandeven replied
Thanks heaps mate….I was passing by after coming back from Mitta and just grapped a couple of quick shots from the ramp….Didn’t even have my tripod with me.
