No subjects to shoot

If you only do what you know you can do; you never do very much Tom Krause

Folks .. From Rotterdam Harbor , one of its Salings ships ..I noticed this Pulley – Tackle block

My little story to go along with that :
Sometimes I receive bubble mails from friends in here asking advice, sure why not if we can help each other.

One line of question / remark I am in trouble with.. when I hear.. I have no subjects like you John, I am in a wrong corner of the World

Brrrrrr Folks .. even if you are in the middle of the dessert .. photo graph that little spider you see..
Your broken shoe in a special angle.. roll up your belt and play with it

At home we have 10 000-sends of little subjects
who are begging you to photograph them..

What you think – say ?

Anyway .. have a grand weekend Folks

John

How I love the way your mind works, John. This pulley is so significant to me for It makes me think of efforts that are leveraged or multiplied. Doesn’t creativity do that for us? It is like opening a door and the ideas just start blossoming as the creative process propel’s us to think of more ideas or branches from that original thought. A beautiful capture by the way. Perfection!

  • John44 replied

What a fantastic feedback and how well you understand my line of thinking.. we also can combine this with the photographic rule:
Less is better. Associations fill our minds with a photo like this.. well spoken Marjie
    Thanks dear friend

Beautiful image to illustrate your thoughts John and thanks for the inspiration. In my experience, if I can’t find/see a subject to shoot it is totally to do with my frame of mind (no pun intended, but apt phrase) . If I don’t see beauty or find interest in my surroundings when I am out with my camera, then sometimes I need to do something else and come back to it another time. Luckily photography is my relaxation, so I usually don’t have this problem.
