I’ve probably used unconventional methods to create this. I often use my fingers to blend colours and I like adding water.. even on canvas (that’s how I did the buildings in the backround). It works for me.

This is wonderful Johdie, the colours and scene really add to the atmoshere. Looks like you have ran down the road and sat quietly to ponder life. Nice work:)

The sketchiness of the backgrond brings the viewer’s eye back to the main subject – clever. I love this picture.

Thanks guys. When I sketched this I had an opposite environment to go with it, but I never got to paint it. Maybe I will one day just to see what it looks like next to it.
