From a distance it could look like a tattoo, that was kind of the point. Upon closer inspection you’d see it wasn’t tough but.. erm.. pretty.. I guess.

It’s not likely for RB to change the alignment. I’ve noticed that some multimedia has a default that the image retain its original alignment… maybe that is the issue (if that makes sense). Try this: Flip the image 90degrees left, save as new image, and viewing through your web-browser.

Thanks Marina. I’d say there would be a hint of green. My camera tends to sometimes have a bluey tinge so I adjusted the colour to resemble the original colour of the paint.

Thank you Micmac. I like combining the two, however the photographs are usually bad when I do. This one just scraped through.

It’s acrylic, I really should buy some more skin friendly paint to do these things. It stained a little. I didn’t even think about the colour matching when I mixed it, so that turned out nicely.

I think this is a great shot…high key works great with contrast on the painted tatts and the dark hair
they are very well painted and looks very real.

Thanks everyone. I like taking high key photos. It’s either that or really dark. I haven’t seen anyone with tattoos like that.. it wasn’t the intention to make it look like tattoos.. but it would be neat.

Beautiful self-portrait Johdie. This is just such a skilfully crafted piece with your eye led from the green tat to your fingernails to your eyes – the minimalism of the white background etc removing any distractions. There is an idle sensuality about this image that is just plain beautiful.

reminds me of the wonderful Indian henna patterns…

Thank you for the thoughtful comments. I really appreciate it. I do think about the focus (leading the eye) but mainly I just do what looks right to me at the time. I like my minimalism.
