Week 19 of Project 1/52

Yesterday I did an experiment with water and lighter fluid, taking advantage of a setup I had made for a product shoot.

I had another product shoot today with a different lighting setup, and decided again to use those settings for my weekly project photo. I tried doing a slight variation of yesterday’s shot, adding a hot pepper in the image this time.

Nikon D7000, Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8D
Focal length 50mm, ISO-100, 1/30 sec. @ f/14

One Elinchrom strobe with softbox placed at a 45°angle to the left. Processed in Lightroom 3.

Project 1/52

This is part of a personal project I have recently undertaken but which has become a fantastic group project.

One single theme photographed differently every week, for 52 weeks.

Click here to visit the Project 1/52 Facebook group. There are currently 44 members, each with a different theme and their photo albums are visible to the public. I tell you, there are little gems in there!

Sorry, but it’s not possible to join anymore… maybe next year!

My own theme is called “All Fired Up” and consists in photographing flames in any form, ranging from matches, to fire camps and anything in between!

I am enjoying the “Flames” project. Great shot here and very creative.

  • Thank you Christina! Glad that you like the project. You know that thare are quite a few RB members also participating?

Although we’re already into the 19th week of Project 1/52 and the groups’s status reads “Open”, we do not accept new members anymore. However, you can still view the members’ albums and read the comments (non-members can’t post anything though but we keep the group “open” so that anyone can view the pics). You can see the albums here

I dropped by the Project’s facebook page. It looks like a fun project. Interesting to see everyone has their own choice. Good on you all. Thanks for sharing. :)))))
