Life is not all fun and games, and it’s far from being easy.

Sometimes we have to juggle with several issues at the same time, and try to perform our best balancing act.

At other times, we feel so weighed down by our present and our past experiences that we feel certain we will never be able to take another step forward again.

In any case, we might just end up feeling old and somewhat battered.

Why not discard all the useless bits from our life’s baggage and choose to travel light?

This way we would leave the extra balls behind and stop juggling, taking only the most important ones safely into our hands, and carry on, carry on…

Excellent work Johanne! Love the colors, textures, lines and shapes of the elements in your diptych. You showcasethem to such great advantage! Composition of this image and use of black, white, red and grey is just fantastic! As for your description, you are just so right on! If only we could embrace this philosophy. our lives would be so much less complicated! But alas, we are so dependant on all our stuff….

  • Thank you Joanne! I had also made another version, layered with textures, but I finally prefer this one, because it seemed like an overkill! :-)

Un texte fascinant et tellement vrai….intriguing composition…looks like a triptych but it’s not…comme diraient les acadiens …terriblement beau!! avec l’accent bien sûr.

  • Joli accent! ;-)

Merci pour les mots d’encouragement, Gigi, c’est toujours très apprécié! I had to stop and consider your comment about it looking like a triptych without being one… I was beginning to feel a bit dense when it hit me! The suitcase is also split in half by a black band! Of course, now I’m asking myself how I could have missed that in the first place! LOL!! Thanks for pointing out this interesting aspect!
