Little white flowers from the garden at my dad’s house. An hour before, it was raining cats and dogs, but the late afternoon sun had just come out and made everything sparkle softly. These were more in the shade but they benefited from the surrounding glow of light through the foliage.

Beautiful! I love the selective focus on the droplets, they seem so delicate!

  • Thank you George! Just playing with the 90mm again. I had just finished my stepsister maternity shooting (part 1 of 3), and we all went out in the garden to start the BBQ, when I saw all the beautiful foliage and flowers sparkling with rain. I ran back inside to get my camera and lens and started shooting again! LOL!

Such a soft delicate image with the lovely pale green. I too love the great DOF you used here. It has a beautiful watercolour quality to it.

  • This is so nice, thank you Shawn! I’m glad that you see the watercolour aspect, because it is partly what I was aiming for, something very artistic. :-)
