Please meet my husband, Luc!
Luc is a person who smiles a lot, when he feels comfortable with the situation and with the people he’s interacting with.
In other cases, well… let’s just say that people have often asked him if he was a policeman…
It is not meant to be a flattering shot, in any way! I asked him not to smile, as I wanted the same type of intense expression as for our son, Phillip. I also wanted to experiment with the harsh lighting, emphasizing the skin texture.
Made in the same studio as for My Sweet Thug , with the same settings.
Focal length 105mm
Shutter 1/160 sec.
AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED (rental)
Shot in manual mode.
|Lighting: 2 naked White Lightning 1600 flash heads, fired from behind and over the models’ shoulders, with the hot spots crossing in front of them and bouncing back on a large silver reflector to light the face a bit.|
